Sam and Cara laid in their separate beds in silence. They both stared at the white ceiling, taking in the events that transpired earlier that day. They wanted to sleep, but their thoughts bugged them and kept them from it. There was too much to process. Who can blame them? It's not very exciting being shot at from a homicidal maniac.

Cara was thinking of a different problem entirely; that man who shot at them was her father.
